Mursia Resort & Spa is on the north-western side of Pantelleria island, in the small village of Mursia, the precise point where Italy and Africa are closest; the location offers awesome sunsets over the sea.
The resort is just 2 km from the centre of Pantelleria and its port, and 5 km from the airport. The Resort is built in typical Mediterranean style and overlooks the sea.
Rooms
The rooms, all of Superior type, are comfortable and elegant and bring to mind the architectural elements and furnishings of Pantelleria’s “dammuso” houses, with vaulted roofs and ceiling fans; they are all large and offer an incomparable sea view. One of the most fabulous unique places on the island of Pantelleria is without doubt the Lago Specchio di Venere, or Mirror of Venus Lake. The water in this lake is on average 2 metres above sea level and is fed both by spa springs and rainwater. It is a true open-air Spa, inside the natural crater of an ancient volcano.
The presence of algae is essential for the production of the precious natural mud whose high sulphur concentration makes it suitable for beauty treatments and for use a natural scrub. The fertile volcanic land, the legacy of millennial eruptions, has given life to active fumaroles called ‘Favare’, which are scattered throughout the island.
Do not miss a visit to renowned local wineries where Zibibbo grapes are grown, which produce the homonymous wine and a fine passito.
