HOTEL PICCOLO PORTOFINO

New Portofino opening in March for Uvet Hotels

Squeezed into the green embrace of the slope on which it stands and set like a precious stone between Portofino’s crystal clear waters and the blue sky, Hotel Piccolo Portofino is a unique receptive masterpiece. A hidden jewel to be sought and discovered.
Derived from a refined period villa, it is now a boutique hotel from whose generous terraces a breathtaking view of this exclusive stretch of Ligurian coastline opens up. Inside, contemporary design plays on strong contrasts, with juxtapositions of black and white marble and cardinal red velvets, crystals and soft fabrics. The whole gives sensations of refined balance, exclusivity and romantic intimacy.

Sensations that find their fullest expression in the hotel’s 23 rooms alone. Here, amidst all the comforts befitting the modern traveler, contrasts are softened and give way to the softness of pastel tones, the whiteness of enveloping beds and pillows, and the transparencies of curtains behind which the gaze is lost on the renowned beauty of this resort. A choice aimed at emphasizing the magnificent surrounding landscape.

A JEWEL ON THE SEA OF PORTOFINO

A touch of superb exclusivity

Added to the roster of services offered as of this year is the brand new opening of the little terrace restaurant. A delicious alternative not to be missed.
Just five minutes from the hotel is the legendary Piazzetta di Portofino, for a stroll, a coffee or a social moment. Or for shopping among the exclusive one-brand stores.

A PEARL OVERLOOKING THE SEA

Hotel Piccolo Portofino stands in a privileged location, perched on the slopes that characterize this exclusive stretch of Ligurian coastline and overlooking the Gulf of Tigullio.
Having become famous in the 1960s, when the stars of the star system, nobles and aristocrats began to populate this charming resort to enjoy its exclusive parties and fantastic scenery, the resort of Portofino has remained unchanged over time, beautiful to live as well as to see.
But the true soul of Portofino is not exhausted among yachts and socialites. To experience and understand it fully, one must go back to its origins as an ancient fishing village, with narrow streets and colorful little houses, intricate streets and small squares with smooth pebbles. Complex and simple at the same time, Portofino represents a true gem overlooking the sea. It is an ideal destination for those who want to relax and spend their days in this “open-air living room,” sitting in one of the bars in the small square, walking along the waterfront or enjoying the beautiful beaches.
Much of this town’s magical appeal remains tied to its geographic location-Portofino lies in a bay in the Gulf of Tigullio, at the foot of the mountain of the same name. It is an ancient seaside village founded by the Romans with the name Portus Delphini, in honor of the many dolphins that lived in the area.
To reach Portofino, you can land at Genoa airport, 85 kilometers away, or at Pisa airport, 120 kilometers away. There is no station, but you can get there by getting off at the station in S. Margherita Ligure and from there travel to Portofino by bus (there are runs every 20 minutes), by cab, or for those who want to walk as well, with a nice walk of just under an hour and a half.
